Travelling on we have now
reached an area called Whites. To the right of the red barn, in the middle
of the picture, there is a Type 24 pillbox. In it's elevated position, the
defenders would have had a good oversight of enemy troop movements in the
rear of the west bank. The box looks to be in good
condition from the outside. It appears to be in use as a farm building,
maybe a chicken hutch, as it has a framework fixed to it's rear side covered
with wire netting.
