| At Weycroft, to the north of the
mill buildings and facing north-west (315 deg.), lies this Type 24 pillbox.
[Map ref. ST 30901 00093] |

| Trees grow up
against the front of the structure, which limits photography. The
reinforced concrete walls had board shuttering, inside and out, the
roof interior had corrugated iron shuttering. |

| The structure has standard Bren
Gun embrasures in common with other 'thick-walled' Type 24's. The view
above is through the front embrasure, looking out across the River Axe
toward the A358 road beyond. A pair of Vickers MMG emplacements lie up
on the hill to the east of this structure. |
