somerset pillboxes

The Stop Line travelled south along the River Parrett before joining the Bridgwater & Taunton canal.  This, and the next, page feature some of the pillboxes that still stand beside the Parrett.  This box is a Type 24 which faces north-west (307 deg.)  The box had board shuttering.

Next south is this Type 24 pillbox overlooking the river.  The box faces north-west (314 deg.)  The objects on the roof are not part of the structure. This box also had board shuttering.
