To the south-east of Bow
Bridge, Axminster, up on the overgrown railway embankment, some defensive
structures survive including this Type 26 block shuttered pillbox which
faces north-west (320 deg.). The embankment could be dangerous in
places so be extra careful if you visit.

previous structure is this Type 24 pillbox which faces north-west (299
deg.).

These anti-tank posts survive
along part of the western side of the embankment.
The above, overgrown, anti-tank
cubes lie just to the west of the embankment.
