somerset pillboxes

To the south-east of Bow Bridge, Axminster, up on the overgrown railway embankment, some defensive structures survive including this Type 26 block shuttered pillbox which faces north-west (320 deg.).  The embankment could be dangerous in places so be extra careful if you visit.

These anti-tank posts survive along part of the western side of the embankment.

The above, overgrown, anti-tank cubes lie just to the west of the embankment.
