By the side of Cad Road - west of Cad Green, lies a Type 24 variant pillbox.

The structure had wooden board, and corrugated iron, shuttering.

A porch was built on to protect the rear of the pillbox, the steel door has now gone.  During WWII the structure was disguised as a bus shelter with fake timetables on the outer wall facing the road.
