This elevated pillbox has a
mix of LMG and Vickers MMG embrasures. It faces the embankment (in the
foreground) of the now dismantled Chard railway branch line in the village of Ruishton, near the junction of Cheats Road and the
Creech St. Michael road. At the rear, behind the trees, lies the dried-up
bed of the old Taunton & Chard Canal aqueduct.

It was built on an enormous
raft of concrete. The removal of a considerable amount of railway
embankment is no doubt responsible for the exposure of the structure's
foundations.
