This beach defence Pillbox Variant lies to
the west of Branscombe Mouth, Branscombe. The structure, which is set low
into the ground, is oblong in plan with two loopholes in the front wall
which faces east (108 deg.).

It is block shuttered, some
blocks having fallen away. One loophole is built into the north wall and one
into the south.
The entrance, in the west wall,
has three loopholes to it's right. Two loopholes can just be seen in
this photo, the third is covered with undergrowth.
