On Bossington beach, in Porlock
Bay, lies this Type 24 beach defence pillbox with it's weathered covering of pebbles giving
it a rather reptilian appearance.

The base of the structure has
been eroded.
The entrance and the 2 rifle loopholes.
These rifle loopholes are tall and narrow compared with those in standard
Type 24's.
