On the eastern outskirts of
Taunton, to the north-east of the railway bridge at Bathpool, this partly
demolished pillbox and the structure on the following page are all that
remain of the Taunton anti-tank island outer defences.

More than half of the structure
appears to be missing so it is difficult to tell what type of pillbox it is.
However, the loopholes in this structure are of a similar shape and size to those
found in Type 26
pillboxes.
