We have now arrived at Banklands and up on high ground overlooking the canal lies this Vickers MMG emplacement.  It faces west and is very overgrown apart from it's blast wall.  As you walk along the canal you cannot see this structure because of the thick screen of trees and bushes.  This picture, of it's rear, was taken from a lane to the south-east of the emplacement.  Another Vickers MMG emplacement existed a little way north of this structure.

Also at Banklands is this Type 24 pillbox, guarding the canal and Lower Maunsel bridge.  It shares the same map ref. as the bridge.
